Nayeli:	I feel that every time we move ahead in this accursed land, we end up pushed even farther back.
Celeste:	We still have our goal, though. We need to find the still-missing seed and the other items that Madame Eva foretold would be key to our defeating Strahd.
Bruenor:	Easy ta say, but not so easy ta do with no leads, and nowhere ta seek 'em in this land that don't see us open ta attack from that vampire's minions.
Celeste:	Perhaps. Or perhaps there is somewhere we can go. The dusk elf, Kasimir, talked of going to the Amber Temple. If we find him there, he might be able to help us. The clues he was seeking might be of aid to us as well.
Bruenor:	Right. Sounds like another Barovia road trip. Everybody saddle up?
Jarlaxle:	Saddle up? Do you have horses you've been hiding, then?
Bruenor:	Just an expression, elf. Try ta keep tha mood light, eh?
1	Defeat 25 Monsters		The ever-present mists of Ravenloft are no concealment against the bats that haunt this realm. Look sharp!
2	Defeat 25 Monsters		Strahd's ravens launch an aerial attack!
3	Collect 25 Raven Feathers		Clipping these ravens' wings will make them back off -- but a host of vampire spawn are on your trail!
Jarlaxle:	Oh, good, it's starting to snow. That'll help the miles fly by.
Nayeli:	If you have enough room in your head for problem solving as well as sarcastic wit, you could turn your attention to the task at hand, Jarlaxle. The Tome of Strahd and the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind still need to be found. But where?
Ezmeralda:	I know these relics by name, but where they're hidden is as much a mystery to me as to you. But what were you told by the seer?
Celeste:	'The thing you seek lies with the dead, under mountains of gold.' Could that be the Amber Temple, you think?
Ezmeralda:	It seems unlikely. The temple doesn't get its name from any great treasure. But we'll know when we get there.
4	Defeat 25 Monsters		An unnatural snow descends as the vampire spawn close in around you.
5	Defeat the Shadow Imp		A shadow imp joins the fray! Drive all these unnatural creatures back!
Nayeli:	Watch yourselves! There's something on the wing in the storm ahead, trying to stay out of sight.
Jarlaxle:	I can see them. Mephits, I'm guessing. Whatever elemental power is driving this storm, they're drawn to it.
6	Defeat 25 Monsters		The vampire spawn are falling back at last, but ice mephits drawn to these snowy climes are a deadly threat.
7	Defeat 25 Monsters		These mephits show no signs of breaking. Push on!
Bruenor:	Can't catch no break from them mephits! We gotta keep movin'!
Ezmeralda:	I think I see the temple entrance ahead. We're close.
Jarlaxle:	And I think I see our dusk elf. Perfect timing.
Kasimir:	Champions! We are well met.
Bruenor:	Aye and ta ye, too. Any extra blade in this fight will be welcome.
Kasimir:	My sword is yours, but follow me if you can. If we can get into the temple, it might provide us some respite from attack.
Jarlaxle:	Yeah, I can tell you're new to traveling with us. That's typically not how it works...
8	Collect 25 Frozen Shards		The unnatural ice around the temple entrance is allowing the mephits to respawn. Gather these shards!
Jarlaxle:	The mephits are regrouping. I think this'll be the most respite we get. So what kind of deal are we striking, elf?
Kasimir:	No need to take that tone, friend. There are secrets within the amber temple we both need. I need to find a way to save my sister, you need to find the clues to help you defeat Strahd. The enemy of my enemy, right?
Bruenor:	We made a lot o' enemies other tha years, son, but fighting us don't automatically make them all friends. Likewise, ye and us fightin' Strahd don't necessarily mean more than that. But tell us what ye're lookin' fer and we'll see how it lines up with our quest.
Kasimir:	I'm looking for an amber sarcophagus. Should be easy to find. If you see one, don't touch it. Just let me know.
Jarlaxle:	Sounds intriguing. I don't suppose you're going to tell us what's in it?
Kasimir:	Knowledge that might help us all. Now come on.
9	Defeat 25 Monsters		Another wave of mephits threatens to overwhelm you. Fight on!
10	Defeat the Air Elemental		Unnatural twig blights pour forth from the temple entrance -- but this air elemental guardian is the bigger threat!
11	Defeat 25 Monsters		The blights that guard the temple press in. Push past them!
12	Defeat 25 Monsters		Inside the temple, the accursed mist breaks at last. But that just makes it easier for the giant rats that dwell here to spot you!
Celeste:	It's a blessed thing to be able to see at last. That mist clouds the eyes and the soul.
Nayeli:	There's still enough shadow here to keep your soul harrowed, never fear. There's evil in this place.
Bruenor:	Wouldn't be a proper ruined temple without it. Come on. If there's evil ta smash, we gotta find it first.
13	Collect 25 Amber Shards		The amber shards that give the temple its name are adding to these guardians' supernatural fury. Disrupt their power!
14	Defeat 25 Monsters		Swarms of bats and undead flameskulls swarm around you. Watch out!
Nayeli:	There! Something ahead. I sense fiendish power.
Celeste:	An arcanaloth! This is a powerful spellcaster. Watch yourselves, friends.
Jarlaxle:	Look out, it cast mirror image! There may be four, but only one is the true arcanaloth!
15	Defeat 1 Arcanaloth		A conniving arcanaloth has made the temple its lair. Clear this evil creature out!
16	Defeat 25 Monsters		The flameskulls fall back for a time -- but another pack of giant rats surges forward to take their place.
Jarlaxle:	Still no sign of Kasimir's amber sarcophagus. We could wander this temple for days at this rate.
Bruenor:	Figure tha scope o' tha guardians'll tell us if we're on tha right track. Rats and bats ain't protectin' nothin' o' worth. But them flameskulls we fought before is watchin' over somethin', I'd bet.
Nayeli:	We'll see soon enough. I sense evil again in the darkness. Getting closer.
Bruenor:	Heh. Green light from them undead says let's go!
17	Defeat 25 Monsters		As you press further along the corridors, another force of flameskulls swarms before you!
18	Collect 25 Skulls		Even more giant rats spill forth from the shadows! Look sharp!
Jarlaxle:	Listen... does anyone else hear a voice? There's someone ahead.
Vilnius:	Light... who approaches? Get back, I tell you! This place will kill us all!
Jarlaxle:	Lovely. I do like a welcoming committee that's on point.
Nayeli:	It's clearly someone in trouble. We need to investigate.
Kasimir:	I'd be careful if I were you. Those who spend too long in the Amber Temple can become... unpredictable.
Bruenor:	Either way, best we keep movin' so we don't end up fittin' that description ourselves. Come on.
19	Defeat 25 Monsters		You move toward the voice but the rats are relentless! Don't let them surround you!
Nayeli:	There he is! And he looks hurt.
Vilnius:	No! Stay away! I should never have come here, should never have followed him.
Celeste:	Please, friend. Let us help you if we can...
Vilnius:	No! Treachery! I'll kill you all!
Jarlaxle:	Well, I can't say that was all that unpredictable, as things go.
Bruenor:	Less jawin' and more sawin', elf. We got a crazy wizard ta fight!
20	Defeat the Vilnius		The evil of the temple can drive folk to madness -- and you might be a sacrifice to that madness if this wizard has his way!
21	Defeat 25 Monsters		The last of the giant rats begin to break -- but the howling of wolves announces an even greater threat!
Nayeli:	The defenders of this temple are legion. We need to fall back!
Kasimir:	No! We're close, I know it. This way!
Jarlaxle:	Well? Are we following the elf or not?
Bruenor:	Looks like some kind o' chamber he's fightin' toward. Might have better luck in open space against these wolves than lettin' 'em pin us in this hall. I say we follow. Come on!
22	Defeat 25 Monsters		The wolves close in quickly. Break through while you can!
Jarlaxle:	Well. It looks like our dusk elf's instincts were correct. There's his amber sarcophagus.
Kasimir:	At last! Stand with me friends. We only need a moment...
Nayeli:	I'd be feeling better if we knew what we needed that moment for, 'friend.' What magic does this place hold?
Bruenor:	Looks like he's more interested in fightin' his way through than talkin'. And that ain't sittin' right with me. Stay close ta him!
23	Collect 25 Foreign Coins		Coins scattered around the sarcophagus room might be your only compensation for this endless fight. Grab them while you can!
24	Defeat 25 Monsters		The werewolves that direct the attacks of this pack call their wolves to regroup!
Kasimir:	Almost there... now...
Nayeli:	You fool! There's evil in all these sarcophagi. I can feel it!
Kasimir:	There is nothing but evil in Strahd's realm, friend. But I will seek power where I can find it. For Patrina!
Nayeli:	No!
Bruenor:	Leave him be, lass. Whatever he's done ain't setting him against us yet. And we got fightin' ta do!
25	Defeat the Werewolf Leader		Evil stands to all sides of you, even as the leader of these werewolves gathers the pack for a final stand!
Nayeli:	Fool! What have you done!
Kasimir:	What I needed to do. For my sister, Patrina Velikovna, long dead. The gift of Zhudun, the Corpse Star, will let me bring her back.
Bruenor:	Seems a mighty one-sided errand ye asked our aid fer, elf. We stood by yer side ta see it done. Now what've ye got ta offer us in return?
Kasimir:	To fight with you to enter Castle Ravenloft. Patrina is entombed there. You help me get to her, and I'll help you destroy the vampire.
Nayeli:	I don't trust this one to keep that or any other bargain.
Celeste:	Perhaps not. But this isn't the place to debate it, I don't think. If there's nothing for us here, we need to get clear of the temple, and quickly.
Nayeli:	Stop! Something's coming!
Bruenor:	Pretty sure it's here already. 'Tis Strahd! And he's come fer tha dusk elf, I'd guess.
Strahd:	Kasimir. You think you can stop me, but how have you not learned? Have I not done enough to quiet your clan?
Kasimir:	Your threats have no weight for me, devil. I have power beyond you now. I will rescue my sister. And then I will see you dead, Strahd!
Strahd:	No. You won't.
Kasimir:	...
Celeste:	No! Kasimir!
Bruenor:	Stay back, lass! Tha vampire's killed him. That's all tha good that doin' deals with evil does.
26	Defeat 25 Monsters		Vampire spawn advance at the devil Strahd's bidding. Stand fast!
Ezmerelda:	You devil. If your intention is to kill us all, then do it!
Strahd:	My dear. I'll come for you all in time. For now, enjoy my gift to you. Your group of so-called champions has one less mouth to feed. And I'll even send you more of my friends to help you escape the Amber Temple. If you can.
27	Defeat 25 Monsters		A second wave of vampire spawn hits hard! Clear them out!
Jarlaxle:	Wait up! We passed this way before, and I'm pretty sure Kasimir would have noticed amber sarcophagi in the middle of the corridor.
Nayeli:	The vampires must have placed them here. Keep moving, but don't touch them!
28	None		Whatever deadly trap is contained within these amber sarcophagi can't be allowed to slow you down!
Strahd:	Delina...
Delina:	No! Where's the vampire...? Ah, only in my mind.
Strahd:	No. Not just your mind. I see your soul as well. And the shadow in you where your brother once dwelled.
Delina:	My brother is dead. You have no hold on me, devil. Just leave me to my grief.
29	Defeat 25 Monsters		Strahd's vampire spawn couldn't stop you -- so now the devil sends his zombies to finish the job!
30	Defeat the Amber Golem		An amber golem! Don't let this temple guardian stop you!
Strahd:	Asharra...
Asharra:	I know my mind well enough to recognize your corrupt touch, Strahd. Get out of my dreams.
Strahd:	This is no dream, Asharra. This is the reminder of our bargain.
Asharra:	... We have no bargain, devil.
Strahd:	Yes. For Tatyana. When you hear the bells ring, tell Tatyana to hide. For your freedom. Your home, in exchange for my beloved. You know what to do...
31	Defeat 25 Monsters		Another wave of zombies and vampire spawn launch an assault from the shadows!
32	Defeat 25 Monsters		The last of the spawn fall at last, but swarms of bats hem you in!
33	Defeat 25 Monsters		Even as the zombies are driven back, the light of undead flameskulls erupts to all sides!
Strahd:	Jarlaxle...
Jarlaxle:	Ah, this again? I was wondering why so many of the others were looking distracted.
Strahd:	Jarlaxle, why do you push me away? Don't you know I could elevate you to the height of the most powerful drow in Faerûn? All you have to do is will it, and I can make it true. You know this.
Jarlaxle:	My destiny is my own, vampire. When I come to you with a bargain, you'll know it's time for us to deal.
34	Collect 25 Bat Wings		The bats swarm so thickly that it's hard to see! Clip their wings to thin their ranks!
Nayeli:	These flameskulls are relentless. Curse them all!
Jarlaxle:	They're undead and bound to eternal servitude. I'm pretty sure that's about as cursed as anyone can get.
Bruenor:	Hey, elf? Ye got an identical twin brother by any chance?
Jarlaxle:	No. What kind of absurd question is that?
Bruenor:	Most likely tha same one that drow up ahead's probably askin' himself...
35	Defeat the Jarlaxle		Strahd's evil has created a mockery to taunt you! Finish this false champion!
Calliope:	Have to say, drow, for all the times my mind's wandered for more than a moment toward wanting to stick a sword through your ribs, fighting even that version of you was less fulfilling than I thought it would be.
Jarlaxle:	Strahd! I know you can hear me! We are not your playthings, nor are we amused by your attempts to break us. We are the champions! And we're coming for you...
36	Defeat 25 Monsters		You draw closer to the entrance -- and the unnatural twig blights that guard that entrance swarm you from the shadows!
37	Defeat 25 Monsters		Another force of blights presses you. Look sharp!
Jarlaxle:	These blights refuse to stop coming. Oh, for a portable hole filled to the brim with weed killer...
Celeste:	It's so unusual seeing these creatures inside, so far from any source of natural power.
Jarlaxle:	Oh, no. You've got that scholarly tone in your voice again.
Celeste:	We need to assess whether these blights are the same strain we fought at the Wizard of Wines. Get some samples while we fight.
Jarlaxle:	The things I do in the name of research...
38	Collect 25 Twig Samples		Your attempt to gather pieces of the fallen twig blights is hampered by their relentless assault!
Bruenor:	Oi! It must've really stormed while we were in tha temple. Watch your step through this snow!
Jarlaxle:	How is this not slowing these blights down? They're like some kind of all-terrain monster!
39	Defeat 25 Monsters		The mists of Ravenloft are never a welcome sight -- but they show you that your time at the temple is nearly done.
Nayeli:	Stay together! Strahd is coming again! I can feel his approach!
Celeste:	Listen! Bells are ringing from the temple. What does it mean?
Asharra:	It means the devil is coming for Ireena! Stay close to us!
Ireena:	No! I won't let you sacrifice yourselves for me!
Bruenor:	We make our own choices who we fight fer, lass. And it looks like we fight fer ye today.
Strahd:	This is no fight, fools. If I was to fight you, you would not survive. This is me taking what is mine!
40	Defeat the Strahd on Horseback		The devil Strahd has come! Is this your final stand against the vampire?!
Ireena:	Stay away from me! I will end my life before...
Strahd:	No! Not again! Never again. You are mine, Tatyana. Witness your champions, helpless before me. You are worth more than them. You are worth the world I made for you. And you are mine.
Nayeli:	Ireena! No! He's taking her...
Jarlaxle:	They're gone. It's too late.
Bruenor:	Belay that. It ain't too late until we call tha time. Come on! We get out o' accursed temple first, and then that devil's ours!
Jarlaxle:	Careful! There's someone up ahead. Someone I don't know...
Baba Lysaga:	I saw you, my boy. So much power. Such majesty...
Ezmerelda:	Fates hold us all... I know that one. Baba Lysaga! Strahd's own midwife, who should have ended his life and hers the night he was born.
Celeste:	Baba Lysaga! She's the one who stole the third gem from the Wizard of Wines. What is she doing here?
Ezmerelda:	Seeking after her ward, no doubt. She fears to face Strahd, for she knows he would reject her hideousness. So she circles close to where he's been, dreaming of the evil she helped create.
