On boss levels, base monster health is multiplied by 1.9, and most bosses have a further multiplier of about ×50. On the level after a boss, monster health decreased to be the same as the level before the boss (about one quarter of the "normal" health given by the formula). The second level after the boss splits the difference (half of normal). |

There are a number of formulas that determine the amount of gold found in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.
Gold drop is calculated from monster health, which is different depending on which campaign is active. In events, monsters gain health at a slower rate than normal campaigns. In Avernus, monsters start out with twice the health of other campaigns, and gain health slightly faster, which amounts to another doubling about every 352 levels.
health = 10 * 2.031^(level–1) | for most campaigns |
health = 20 * 2.035^(level–1) | for Avernus |
health = 10 * 1.85^(level–1) | for events and time gates |
Base gold drop is based on monster health raised to some exponent. The exponent depends on the current level; between levels 42 and 201, it comes from a table, but can be approximated as follows. This is further modified by gold find bonuses and the current amount of Divine Favor.
gold = health^0.65 | for level < 42 |
gold ≈ health^(2.8 * level^–0.4) | for 42 ≤ level ≤ 201 |
gold = health^0.332406 | for level > 201 |
Divine favor is based on the total gold found during a run, raised to an exponent that again depends on the campaign.
favor = (gold/5e4)^[log(1.24)/log(2.031)] ≈ (gold/5e4)^0.304 | for most campaigns |
favor = (gold/5e4)^[log(1.23)/log(2.031)] ≈ (gold/5e4)^0.292 | for Avernus |
favor = (gold/5e4)^[log(1.25)/log(2.031)] ≈ (gold/5e4)^0.315 | for events and time gates |
If you spend some time farming at your wall, then the gold earned at lower levels can be ignored, and we can write a simple expression based on the highest level reached. Various factors such as gold find bonus and time spent farming can be combined into a single multiplier.
Formula | Most Campaigns | Avernus | Events, Time Gates |
---|---|---|---|
Monster Health | 10 * 2.031^(level–1) | 20 * 2.035^(level–1) | 10 * 1.85^(level–1) |
Gold Drop (level < 42) | 2.818 * 1.585^level | 4.418 * 1.587^level | 2.995 * 1.492^level |
Gold Drop (level > 201) | 1.699 * 1.266^level | 2.137 * 1.266^level | 1.752 * 1.227^level |
Divine Favor | (gold/5e4)^0.304 | (gold/5e4)^0.292 | (gold/5e4)^0.315 |
Favor (level > 201) | 0.0440 * mult^0.304 * 1.074**level | 0.0529 * mult^0.292 * 1.071**level | 0.0395 * mult^0.315 * 1.067**level |
At low levels, gold drop goes up by a factor of 10 about every 5 levels; at higher levels, about every 10. Divine Favor roughly doubles every 10 levels.
